Transformation Model • Lead Turnaround Partner - Johns Hopkins University • JHU model for school organization and support: Talent Development Secondary • TDS is built on four pillars: • Teacher teams and small learning communities • Curriculum, instruction, and coaching • Data-guided tiered intervention systems • Climate for success

  3. LTP Transformation Model • LTMS and Ruffner receive monthly technical assistance from a team of JHU facilitators. • LTMS receives direct instructional support in Math, English/Reading, Social Studies, Special Education, and Climate. • Ruffner receives direct instructional support in Math, English/Reading, Science, Social Studies, Special Education, and Climate.

  4. Additional School-based Support • Each school has a School Transformation Facilitator (STF). STF supports all content areas and the use of data-driven decision-making. • Each school also has grant-funded staff that includes full-time instructional coaches for Math, English/Reading, Science, Social Studies, Special Education, and Climate.

Lake Taylor Middle School Next steps for the rest of the school year… • Continued focus on student engagement and differentiation. • Continue to provide professional development that is differentiated based on the needs of students and staff. • Continue to focus on the programming and supports needed for students with disabilities to make academic progress. • Implement cluster projects to personalize student recognition.

Ruffner Middle School Next steps for the rest of this school year… • Continued focus on student engagement and differentiation. • Continue to provide professional development that is differentiated based on the needs of students and staff. • Continue to focus on the programming and supports needed for students with disabilities to make academic progress. • “Changing the Climate day” and discipline assemblies will be taking place in January.
