  1. Supreme Council’s Concept For the Future Each Valley must emphasize Inspiration, Convenience and Enjoyment in all its Programs and Degrees

  2. WHAT IS “ICE?”

  3. FOCUS - I To inspire its members to higher standards of moral and ethical conduct by affirming reverence for a Supreme Being, our love of country, and our belief in the Brotherhood of Man.

  4. FOCUS – C To provide convenient opportunities for Scottish Rite Freemasons to use their talents and skills to enhance and enrich the lives of its members, their families and their communities.

  5. FOCUS – E To provide enjoyable programs and fellowship activities.

  6. WHY I.C.E.? • Implementing I.C.E. forces us to focus on our most important asset – OUR MEMBERS & PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS! • Who would want to belong to an organization that is un-inspiring, inconvenient, and not enjoyable?

  7. THE BOTTOM LINE IS ONLY your valley can make its activities inspirational, convenient, and enjoyable.

  8. CORE VALUES - what are they anyway?

  9. SCOTTISH RITE CORE VALUES • Reverence for God. • Service to Humanity. • Dedication to Country. • Integrity • Tolerance • Justice

  10. CORE VALUES • Core Values in any organization are those elements that are elemental to the organization and virtually never change. • However, the manner in which these values are implemented must be adapted to changing social needs.

  11. THE FOUR “I’s” • Identify Scottish Rite Core Values. √ • Inform the membership. √ • Instruct the candidates. • Incorporate the Core Values into your life.

  12. INSTRUCTION • The primary method of instruction will be through our degrees. • All degrees have been reviewed to determine if their content reflects our Core Values.

  13. BECOMING A 32⁰ • To become a 32 ⁰ Scottish Rite Freemason a candidate will have to: • Witness the 4 ⁰ and the 32 ⁰ PLUS • A number of other degrees, selected by the valley, that reflect our Core Values.
