  4. What Are The Top Concerns In The United States? Health Care? The Economy? Unemployment?

  5. Crime is one of the top concerns when it comes to our communities, especially our seniors. We can assist with this concern by utilizing Crime Prevention strategies and programs like the CFMH.

  6. What is Crime Free Multi-Housing? • An honest, direct and solution oriented crime prevention program. • It is designed to assist owners, managers, residents and the police reduce criminal activity on the property. • It is a Three-Phase program.

  7. Phase One Eight hour management training Includes topics such as: Landlord/Tenant law Management techniques Working with Police, Constable and Courts Drug and Gang recognition C.P.T.E.D.

  8. Phase One Certificate Good for 3 years after the training. Reason for 3 years is that drugs, gangs and landlord/tenant laws change and you need to keep current. If a manager leaves, the new manager must go to the training to keep the signs.

  9. Phase Two On-site inspection of Property Utilize C.P.T.E.D. principals Includes: Uniform lighting Locks on windows and doors Eye viewer on front door Proper landscaping Lit Directory

  29. To Understand Crime... • Criminals are PREDATORS!! • They sometimes stalk their prey! • They look for the easyvictim.

  30. Speaking of Predators…. • When you think of predators, picture a hungry LION! • They don’t wait for “Take-Out!” • They have to go out and stalk their prey.

  50. Increased Response Times • Wanted to see if increased response times catches more suspects • Increased likelihood of accidents for officers • Most suspects are not at the scene when police arrive, nationally it is about 3%.
