  4. Single Window in Swedish Customs was established as a consequence of the computerization starting in 1988. Electronic communication early showed great potential if seamless process were to be achieved. Customer requirements initiated the process and development of a true Single Window environment. Therefore Customs is the logical interface between the Business community and other public services.
