  1. Data Collection Portal Walkthrough Jacob Hodges 11 July 2014

  2. Portal Entry • Anyone participating in the evaluation will be required to “Accept and Acknowledge” the Informed Consent. • The Informed Consent, for the Concept Evaluation, can also be read in their native languages by selecting the flag that represents their country.

  3. Demographics • A Status Bar informs the participant of ‘where they are’ in answering questions related to the particular set of questions. • The participant can see where they are in the evaluation process based on the bold font.

  4. Pre-Test Questionnaire • The Status Bar shows that the participant has completed the Demographics Questions and ready for the Pre-Test Questions. • The Registration Process (i.e., Informed Consent, Demographics and Pre-Test) is complete. • The participant is now ready to evaluate the learning formats • I will receive an email informing me that PIN xxxx has completed the registration process.

  5. Learning Formats • ‘Learning format evaluation’ options are displayed on one page. • Participants can use their initial ‘Registration’ hyperlink to access the learning formats as many times as needed. • I will send each participants a 2nd email which provides a unique hyperlink to the final evaluation questions, once notification has been received that the pre-test has been completed.

  6. Post-Test Questionnaire • After receiving the new hyperlink, participants can take the Post-Test Questionnaire. • Participants can still use their ‘Registration’ hyperlink to access and evaluate the learning formats. • Once the Post-Test Questionnaire has been completed, the participant cannot return to the questions to change their answers.

  7. Evaluation • The first question in evaluating the learning formats is to determine which technologies were used during the evaluation. • Participants will be able to select all of the devices that apply to them.

  8. The 2nd question in the Learning Format Evaluation finds out which learning formats the participant selected to evaluate. • The participant will be asked format-related questions based on their selection. • Participants can select all of the formats that apply.

  9. E-pub Evaluation • During this test, I tested the E-pub format. • The left-hand column shows that E-pub questions are being asked. • Once the human subject has answered all E-pub questions, he/she will be taken to the next learning format set of questions.

  10. Video Evaluation • During this test, my 2nd selection was the Video format. • The left-hand column shows that Video questions are being asked. • Once the human subject has answered all Video questions, he/she will be taken to the next learning format evaluated or final evaluation questions.

  11. Final Questions • The final phase of questions relates to the learning experience. • The left-hand column shows the human subject has entered the final phase of the evaluation.

  12. The final set of questions includes text-related inputs on the learning experience. • If the participant needs more space in answering the questions, the text box will not restrict inputs.

  13. The status bar on the left-hand side shows the MLS Evaluation is complete. • Each participant is congratulated for participating in the MLS Evaluation. • I will receive an email informing me that PIN xxxx has completed the evaluation.
