  2. Introduction • the global economiccrisisdidn’t passby Croatia, nor did it passbythePrimorsko-Goranska county • the financial reports of 2009 paint that picture well enough the averagewages in the PGC rose by 0.2 % from 4,404 kn in the year 2008 to 4,412 in the year 2009

Definitionofentrepreneurship • an entrepreneur is one or more individuals who invest capital and knowingly take risks to acquire certain capital gains • in Croatia, the basic divison of entrepreneurs are - small enterprises, medium and large • small businesses are those with total assets are up to 27 million HRK, total revenue of HRK 57 million, with 50 employees • the group of medium-sized businesses are those by those who exceed two to three criteria for small businesses
