New Programme Framework • New Multi-annual Financial Framework for EU • Adopted by EU BudgetaryAuthority end 2013 • Coversperiod2014-2020 • Ensurefunding of: • EGNOS Exploitation (incl. « EGNOS V3 » development) • Galileo full deployment • Galileo Exploitation • New GNSS Regulation(1285/2013, 11 Dec. 2013) • EGNOS shall: • augment existing GNSS and Galileo Open signals • provide OS, SOL and EDAS services • over EU States territoriesgeographicallylocated in Europe • EGNOS maybeextended to otherregions (neighbourhoodpolicy) • New public sectorgovernance

EGNOS Exploitation objectives • Delivercontinuous and safesignals & services, compliantwith International Standards: • Augmentation to GPS • EASA certification, EU securityaccreditation • Maintain & renew the Space & Ground infrastructure: • Manage obsolescence (Ground & Space Evolutions) • Improve services (design&deployevolutions): • Extendcoverage area: EU-28 priority • Extend performance delivered to users (e.g. LPV-200) • Develop multi-frequency, multi-constellationcapacity • Enable the use of EGNOS • Develop user standards • Ensure inter-operability • Develop EGNOS Market Adoption (Aviation, Maritime, others)

Service Status: GEOs • ARTEMIS decommissioned on 31 Dec 2013 • Currently 2 OperationalGEOs: • Inmarsat 3F2 • Inmarsat 4F2 • New GEO-1 (SES-5): • Under ESR 2.4.1M System integration tests • 13 years lease contract • "Ranging" function not available • New GEO-2 (Astra-5B): • Launch foreseen early March 2014 • To be integrated within ESR 2.4.1P
