  1. Integrated program for the Mathematics Australian Curriculum Year 7 www.cambridge.edu.au/hotmaths Cambridge HOTmaths is available to bundle with the Cambridge Essential Mathematics for the Australian Curriculum textbook series.

  2. www.cambridge.edu.au/hotmaths • Aims of the integrated program • The program integrates the content of the two resources showing which HOTmaths topics, lessons, widgets, walkthroughs and HOTsheets can be used with the textbook topics. • It is provided for the use of both teachers and students (and their parents).

  3. From Term 1 2011, the HOTmaths menus will allow you to select Essential Maths and the year level. • You will then be offered a menu based on the structure of the textbook. • You can navigate to the linked HOTmaths material without the PDF integrated teaching program. www.cambridge.edu.au/hotmaths

  4. Textbook page How to use the integrated program… 1 In the textbook, note the number of the chapter and section (i.e. lesson or subtopic) you are in and look for a HOTmaths icon indicating linked content.

  6. 3 A new menu system will offer a choice of ‘COURSE’: choose Essential Mathsandthe year level then choosethe chapter of the textbook(the topic)

  7. Then select the textbook lesson number (1.3 in our example) There are two HOTmaths lessons to go with this textbook lesson — choose A or B

  8. Textbook page The HOTmathslesson which matches the textbook lesson will open (under the same title)

  9. Cambridge Essential Mathematics / HOTmaths Integrated Program 4 Consult the Integrated Program (a PDF file on the website) to check for notes on the items to use.

  10. This menu system will be available from Term 1 2011. • Until then, please use the Integrated Program (you can download from the HOTmaths website) to determine which HOTmaths topic/lesson matches the textbook lesson, and navigate to it using the current HOTmaths menus.
