Notes from GBTx design review 20120622 Switched off pads have floating outputs, -> propagate float can crate shortcircuit in next powered gate alternative siwtch off clock only read_clk comes form serialer and PLL! Verify that clk_serial_read is not needed for mult_serial as if serializer/PLL is not powered there is no clk_serial_read pulldown/up needed? Outputs of switched off blocks go Z and inputs might go into shortcircuits Does Matt use triplated clocks? if then verify that skew between them is small (speak to Sandro) Put additional decoupling on the core (Sandro) all empty space. Automatic check for electromigration (Sandro) Ask Sandro about timing model of serializer do not use thinoxide as loopfilter, use thickoxide, due to random noise on thinoxide

There are separation cells but they are 71 um wide and would waste space  Modification of the SIOVDD and SIOVSS is needed to avoid short circuits
