  4. Revalidate AIRE message The FAA and EC seek: • Enhanced ATM interoperability • Improved energy efficiency • Reduced engine emissions • Lower aircraft noise

  5. Revalidate AIRE Objectives • Promote interoperability of technology, procedures, and standards • Validate projected environmental improvements • Capitalize on existing technologies • Highlight challenges to implementation • Support implementation time-lines • Provide a systematic approach

  6. Develop an AIRE road map • FY 09 Program Focus • Expand the Partnership • FY 10 Program Focus • Gate-to-Gate Transition

  7. Post Demonstration Strategy • Support implementation • Identify priorities for new technologies and procedures • Validate SESAR/NextGen priorities
