  4. Projects pertaining to what we are discussing. Films/videos Scholastic Current Events Magazine or Newspaper Activities Youth Legislature

  5. Binder & IN notebook Every student should have a binder and it should be organized. Students are required to bring their IN notebook to class every day.

  6. Plus Portals Please check your child’s Plus Portals for grades. If there is a question about a grade, student must bring graded paper and meet with me within a week of paper being returned. Encourage your child to file all returned tests.

  7. Test Calendar Our test calendar is located in the hallway. I post tests/quizzes at least4days in advance.

  8. Conferences • If a group conference is needed, please schedule it through the homeroom teacher. • If you need to meet with me, please contact me by e-mail. • lmongrue@aloysius.org

  9. Topics Covered Civics: The Constitution Will include writing bills for Youth Legislature World War II The Cold War

  10. The End of the Cold War Geography of Canada & Mexico

  11. Veteran’s Day • The students will write letters to veterans. At this time, start thinking of relatives, friends and/or neighbors who have served in the military. In about 2 months, I will ask for the names and addresses of these brave men and women.

  12. Field Trips • Youth Legislature • February 17th and 18th, 2020 • World War II Museum • Friday, November 15, 2019

  13. Child Protection Certified • If you would like to help chaperone any of our upcoming trips, you must be child protection certified. • If you are not certified, now is the time to start the process. All chaperones must have their certification complete 2 weeks prior to any field trip. • NO ONE will be allowed on any trip if they are not Child Protection Certified and willing to chaperone.
