America’s Job Bank (AJB) • AJB is a self-service national labor exchange operated in partnership with the states • Approximately 50% of the job openings on AJB come up from state systems, while the other 50% are entered in AJB directly by businesses • AJB is a free public resource for both businesses and job seekers

  19. AJB Holdings Statistics • Job Openings – approximately 1.4 million jobs are available daily (5.9 million listed with AJB for the year ending June 30, 2004) • Resumes – approximately 700,000 resumes are available daily (679,000 were posted with AJB for the year ending June 30, 2004)

  30. AJB Association Sites Association sites provide a different interface on AJB for specific targeted audiences. Current association sites include: • DoD Job Search - A site developed specifically for transitioning military to help them find civilian employment. It contains a special military resume writer that helps translate their military experience into civilian terms and provides a place for businesses who like to hire ex-military a place to post their jobs. http://dod.jobsearch.org/
