Campaign Scope • Annual fundraising drive conducted by Federal employees • Raise millions of dollars through CFC ($258 million in 2012) • Benefits thousands of non-profit Human Health and Welfare • charities. • Our campaign conducted Oct 1 – Dec 1 at every Federal • agency. • The Combined Federal Campaign is the only authorized solicitation of employees in the Federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations

Pledge Designations • Donors are encouraged to designate their gifts to specific organizations OR designate to federations that are listed in the Campaign Brochure. • Designating gifts allows donors to channel contributions to organizations that represent their interests or concerns. • If designate to a federation, the contribution is used to support the work of the federation or is shared with its affiliated agencies in accordance with the federation’s policy. • Designations can only be made to organizations in the Brochure. Write-ins are prohibited.

WAYS TO GIVE THROUGH CFC • CFC Pledge Card – Payroll Deduction • Online giving www.3riverscfc.org – Payroll Deduction • Select agencies can give through Employee Express website • Cash (one time giving) • Check (one time giving made out to CFC) • Credit Card www.3riverscfc.org • All these venues allow the donor to pick as many charities as they wish.

  10. CFC LOGO ACCESS TO OFFICIAL CFC LOGOS: You may obtain the new logo and brand standards at OPM’s website at www.opm.gov/cfclogo/logo/download.aspx. You will be prompted to review and accept terms of the user agreement. You must agree to the user agreement before proceeding. By checking the box and clicking on the proceed button, you are agreeing to all terms outlined. Once you accept, you will be taken to the page you were originally attempting to access.

Charitable Agency Involvement Overview • Promote your CFC Code on everything • Attend Charity Fair that fits your mission • Become a CFC Charity Speaker • Charity Speakers will be scheduled for keyworker training sessions & federal agency group solicitations • Volunteer - Charities are requested to provide assistance with the packing of CFC materials for keyworkers & event set up

Place Event Pictures.) • On ALL visibility within the community • PSAs of events (CFC charity fair on charity calendar) • Community Calendar/Church Calendars • Email Signature • Social Media • News stories (print, television, internet) • Billboards, Newspaper Advertising, etc. • Newsletters • USE NEW CFC LOGO (star image. NOT eagle)

CFC Charity Fairs • Requires sign-in today to get invited to charity fairs • Focus on your charity story as “how a little has helped your charity” • Identify programs & services that benefit federal personnel families • Provide a flyer that demonstrates how federal contributions have impacted specific needs • Provide give-a-ways, candy, etc. • Promote “Supporting our Communities – Each in Our Own Way”

If full park behind bldg. 32 and walk across the street to the Ambulatory Entrance - Bring Photo ID - Recommend bringing items on wheels/dolly - Hours – Set Up 10:30AM (Fair 11:00 AM – 12:30PM) - Assigned tables - Lottery reservation - 100+ attendees (staff and patients) - Theme: Pasta Cook Off

Charity Fair Registration • Invite & Registration Form will be emailed to independent agencies and/or federations that were accepted into campaign and signed in at today’s training. • ONE INVITE SENT VIA EMAIL FOR ALL FAIRS • Registration in Excel format (MUST COMPLETE IN EXCEL) • CHECK FAIR(S) YOU WANT TO ATTEND • LOTTERY TO DECIDE ATTENDANCE • MUST meet Registration Deadline (SEE EMAIL INVITE) • REQUIRED - Contact information for charity fair representative (High Security)

Volunteers needed to help pack & deliver CFC Directories/Forms • Week of September 9th or 16th • Federal Building/Butler VA/USPS North Side - Pack directories, gifts, donor forms • Sign up via e-mail or today if interested in helping • Lunch Provided • Invite to help will be sent via email

  35. FUTURE OF CFC Negative Potential Changes: 1. Online Giving Only (only 30% give this way now) 2. No cash or check (Events raise cash funds) 3. No local Director/PCFO (No local CFC contact) 4. Annual fee for charities to apply to be in campaign ($1000+) WAITING ON NEXT STEPS FROM OPM AND CONGRESS.
