RECOMMENDED FLIGHT CONDUCT • DEPT: ANY RWY • WORKING AREA: ANY AREA • ARRIVAL: RTB JOE WILLIAMS, BRAVO RECOVERY RWY 32 CARRIER BREAK • FULL STOP THEN DEPT JOE WILLIAMS FOR A MER1 WEST MOA ENTRY • SEE CTW-1 IN FLIGHT GUIDE PG. 33 (next slide) • EMPHASIS ON INTERCEPTING RADIAL FROM CORRECT DIRECTION • ENTRY INTO MOA NOT REQUIRED • PERFORM AT LEAST ONE NO-HUD LANDING

CTW-1 In Flight Guide(page 33) Aircraft departing NJW to the MEI 1 West MOA shall be cleared via the following MOA Departures (MOAB and Shark Bravo): • RWY 31: Leaving 1500’ MSL commence a left 360 degree turn to intercept the NMM 318020 and proceed outbound on the NMM 318 radial to 3000’ MSL or as assigned. • RWY 13: Leaving 1500’ MSL commence a right 180 degree turn to intercept the NMM 318020 and proceed outbound on the NMM 318 radial to 3000’ MSL or as assigned. • SHARK BRAVO DEPARTURE: Fly RWY heading, expect radar vectors to the NMM 348024 fix. Contact Meridian RATCF for assigned squawk and altitude. NOTE: All departing aircraft shall fly RWY heading climbing to 1500’ MSL. Once number one upwind, climb to assigned altitude and turn to intercept the appropriate departure heading. For aircraft departing to MER1 West MOA DO NOT climb above 7000’ MSL until cleared by Memphis Center and having properly de-conflicted with traffic on area common frequency.

DISCUSS GO-AROUND • HISTORY: REFER TO VT-22 SIR, JUNE 2010 • JOINT SOP: AT ANY TIME IF THE AIRCRAFT IS NOT DECELERATING NORMALLY WITH 3000 FEET OF RUNWAY REMAINING, A GO-AROUND OR LONG FIELD ARRESTMENT DECISION MUST BE MADE • NOTE: WHILE THE FAM FTI CAUTIONS AGAINST ROLL BEYOND 4000 FT REMAINING MARKER (DURING ROLL AND GO), SNAs SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT GO AROUND IS POSSIBLE WITH LESS RUNWAY • IPs MUST ENSURE STUDENTS ARE AWARE OF T-45C SHORT-FIELD TAKEOFF PERFORMANCE. DISCUSS FOLLOWING: • LINE SPEEDS DURING LANDING ROLL • GO-AROUND ROTATION SPEED (V liftoff: 99 KIAS) • GO-AROUND AOA (19.5 UNITS) • L/Dmax (24 UNITS) • TAKEOFF ROLL (LESS THAN 2000’ AT 11,000 lbs)
