  3. Adjustable Parallels • Used to set up sine bar • Used to set up parts in milling machine • Used to measure widths of slots in conjunction with a direct reading instrument • Is a comparison instrument and needs a direct reading instruments to determine size

  4. Angle Gage Set • Used to check or compare standard angles • Tool is a visual comparison tool

  5. Chamfer Gage • Used to the determine top diameter of a tapered hole • Through trigonometric equations missing information on a hole can be determined

  6. Coaxial Indicator • Used to locate the center of a diameter to close tolerances

  7. Dial Bore Gage • Used to not only gage diameter of a hole but will show eccentricity, taper and indentations • Tool is a comparison instrument and must be setup with a master or a direct reading instrument

  8. Dial Thickness Gage • Discrimination - .001” or finer • Used to gage thickness of sheet metal, plate or paper in a production environment • Tool is a comparison instrument and must be setup with a master or direct reading instrument

  9. Radius or Fillet Gage • Tool is used to gage concave or convex radii or to gage fillet welds • Tool is a visual comparison instrument

  10. Gage Block Set • Used to setup tooling and/or comparison instruments • Also used to calibrate direct reading measuring tools

  11. Hole Gage • Tool is a comparison instrument and must be setup with a master or comparison instrument • Gages to discriminations of .001” or finer

  12. Optical Comparator • Tool is used to magnify part and measure to discriminations of .001” or finer • Used to visually compare a part against a standard, i.e. a template

  13. Ring Gages • Used to setup comparison instruments

  14. Sheet Metal & Wire Gage • Used to determine sheet metal and wire thickness by “feel” • Tool is a comparison instrument used by “feel”

  15. Small Hole Gages • Tool is a comparison instrument • Needs a direct instrument to determine size • Tool is used by “feel”

  16. Snap Limit Gages • Tool is a comparison instrument and must be setup with a master or direct reading instrument • Used in a production environment as a “Go” “No-Go” inspection tool

  17. Taper Gage • Used to visually gage a tapered hole • Tool is a comparison instrument

  18. Telescoping Gages • Tool is a comparison instrument • Needs a direct instrument to determine size • Tool is used by “feel”

  19. Thread Pitch Gage • Used to visually compare and determine thread per inch on a part

  20. Thread Plug Gages • Tool is used in production environment as a “Go” “No-Go” inspection tool

  21. Thread Ring Gages • Tool used in a production environment as a “Go” “No-Go” inspection tool

  22. Universal Bevel Protractor • Instrument discrimination is 5 degrees

  23. V Sine Bar • Used as a layout tool or gauging tool • Used in conjunction with gage blocks or adjustable parallels to layout or determine angles • Useful on round stock

  24. Vernier Height Gage • Used for layout on parts • Used as an inspection tool for measurement or with a test indicator to gage diameters and/or cylindricity

  25. Groove Checking Comparator Gage • Used to gage ID ring depth in a production environment • Tool is a comparison instrument and must be set up with a master or direct reading instrument

  26. Inside Micrometer Caliper • Used to gage ID bore sizes or slot widths • Tool is a direct reading instrument

  27. Inside Groove Micrometer • Used to measure internal grooves such as o-ring grooves • Tool is direct reading

  28. Extended Range Caliper • Used to measure deep bores or groove deep inside a bore • Tool is a comparison instrument and must be setup with a master or direct reading instrument • Tool will show taper, eccentricity and depressions

  29. Inside Micrometer w/interchangeable rods • Used to measure ID bores or slots • Rods allow flexibility to measure a range of sizes • Instrument is direct reading

  30. Point Micrometer • Point micrometer is used for measuring where the standard micrometer spindle could not be accommodated. • Features: • Range 0-1" • Graduation .0001" • Points are carbide tipped • 30 degree point • Ratchet Stop for constant force. • Includes fitted case

  31. V Anvil Micrometer • Measures the outside diameter of cutting heads (such as taps, reamers, end mills) with an odd number of flutes.

  32. Indicating Micrometer • instrument has an indicating mechanism built in to the frame that permits a dial reading discrimination to .0001 in. When an object is measured, the size deviation above or below the micrometer setting will be indicated on the dial. The indicating dial usually has a range of ± .001 in.

  33. Air Gage • Measures pressure in PSI

  34. Dial Caliper • Dial Graduated in .001" of an Inch • Bar Graduated in .1" of an Inch

  35. Vernier Height Gage

  36. Dial Indicator attached to a comparator Stand • Used for Measuring multiple parts. Set the Max and Min and keep parts in range. • Comparison Tool.

  37. Test Indicator • Test Indicator is the Measuring portion of many other comparison applications.

  38. Tubing Micrometer • Used to measure the wall thickness of tubing. • Two different anvil types.

  39. Solid Beam Square • Measures 90 Degree Angle. • Shows you things in/out of Square

  40. Diemaker’s Square

  41. Machinist’s Protractor • This is ideal for machine and jig set-up where accuracy is essential.

  42. Vernier Protractor • A circle can be divided into 360 equal angles. Each angle is called degree. So a circle is 360 degrees (360o). For calculation a degree is divided into 60 parts called minutes and a minute is sub-divided into 60 parts called seconds. • The bevel protractor is used to establish and test angles to very close tolerances. It reads to 5 minutes or 1/20o and can be used completely through 360o.

  43. Sine Bar • Distance between centerlines is 5 or 10”

  44. Disc Micrometer • Measuring thin materials such as paper where a measuring face with a large area is needed. It is also useful for such measurements where the distance is from the slot to the edge is to be determined.

  45. Hub Micrometer • The frame if the Hub Micrometer is designed so that it may be put through a hole or bore in order to measure the hub thickness of a gear or sprocket.

  46. Blade Micrometer • Ideal for measuring grooves, slots, recesses, etc.

  47. Spline Micrometer • Suited to measure the minor diameter of a spline. • Small diameter spindle and anvil. • Frame and body are considerably longer than run of the mill micrometers.

  48. Taper Micrometer

  49. Ball Anvil Micrometer
