DASA scheme is launched by Ministry of Human Resource Development, India (MHRD) for NRIs (Non-Residential Indians)/PIO (Persons of Indian Origin)/OCI (Overseas Citizen of India)/Foreign Nationals that wants to admit in the renowned technical institutes like NITs/IITs/CFIs/SPAs of India. This scheme made UG students easy to apply for the Bachelors admission in NITs, IIITs, SPAs, and other CFIs of India apart from the Indian Institute of Technology’s (IITs). In other words, MHRD gave an opportunity to all the Indian citizens to pursue graduation that are residing abroad. Are you an NRI/PIO/OCI? Then, let's dig into the Eligibility Criteria to know what makes you eligible.   DASA 2019 Eligibility You have to meet all 3 types of requirements to apply under the DASA scheme. The eligibility list is as follows: Age Eligibility Academics Eligibility Residential Eligibility Age Eligibility: You should be born on or after October 1, 1994 if you’re aiming to apply to the DASA 2019. The Date of Birth (DOB) card should be issued by any Government authority or Secondary Education Board / University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] are considered as genuine. Academics Eligibility: Applicant must qualify 12th grade or equivalent from the recognized universities of Association of Indian Universities (AIU).   4. & Applicant must have successfully completed 3 subjects - Mathematics, Physics & One of the subjects from Chemistry, Bio- Technology, Computer Science, Biology in 11th and 12th grade. & Applicant must have scored at least 60% aggregate or 6.5 GPA (10 point scale basis) or applicants that have finished 12th grade and are expecting results by September 15, 2019 can also apply. & Applicants with the minimum SAT score of 1800 are only eligible. Applicants have to submit their 3 SAT Subject Test scores - SAT Physics, SAT Chemistry & SAT Mathematics Level 2 directly to the DASA conducting institute from the College Board account. Ensure you are sending your SAT Subject Test scores by June 10, 2019. If you fail to send the SAT scores by June 10, 2019, you won’t be able to attend for the Round 1, 2 & 3 of DASA scheme. Residential Eligibility: All Foreign Nationals residing in any country including India or Indian Nationals studying abroad that fulfilled the above- mentioned admission criteria shall be eligible. th th NRI/PIO/OCI is eligible for DASA scheme if he finishes his 11 and 12 grade in any foreign country in the last 8 years. If you hail from any of the below-mentioned Gulf Countres, you are eligible for the CIWG scheme. The countries list is as follows: Bahrain Iran Iraq Oman Kuwait Qatar Saudi Arabia United Arab Emirates You can avail the benefits of CIWG and DASA scheme.
