  2. Introduction In P.E we were given a project. We had to choose our favorite football player and then we had to research on them in the duration of two weeks. My player is Cristiano Ronaldo. I hope you enjoy my slideshow!

  4. Who is the player? My football player is Cristiano Ronaldo. I chose him because I thought that his life would be interesting since he is one of the most recognized football player in the world.

  5. What club, team or country does he/she play for? He is currently playing for Real Madrid in Portugal.

  6. What is the player’s background, how long have they been playing, what positions does he/she play? Ronaldo was born on the 5th of February 1985 in Funchal, Madeira. His name Ronaldo was chosen after his father’s favorite actor Ronald Reagan. He is 6' 1" (1.85m) tall and he weighs 75 kg. He has been playing ever since he was eight. He played in Andorinha when he was eight, Nacional in 1995, Sporting CP, Manchester United after the 2002-03 season and Real Madrid ever since 2009. He was also Manchester United’s first Portuguese player. He plays as the forward/winger. His current squad number is 7.

  7. What does this player do on the field that makes them so good? (Use Football terminology if possible) e.g. can strike with both feet, puts other players into space etc Ronaldo’s strengths are that he has mesmerizing footwork and his ability to whip in crosses free-kicks swerve with pace and power.

  8. Why do you enjoy watching this particular player more than others? Give specific examples of great passages of play they have been involved in. (you can use photos or video to help your explanation) I enjoy watching Ronald because like what was said above he has mesmerizing footwork and he also has a very good control over the ball. The way he scores a goal is also very amazing! This is a quote from Sir Alex Ferguson, “He is more enjoyable to watch as his footwork is amazing and also how he scores a goal.   9. What are 3 questions you would ask the player if you had a chance to interview them for TV and why? I would ask him how did he feel when he got signed to Manchester United because I think it would be interesting to find out. I would ask him how did he first feel before his first game, what is it like to be under pressure to always do well and how did he get started like when he first played how good was he. I would ask all this questions because I think that this questions would be very interesting to find out coming from a football star.
