  3. What’s PAWS? • PAWS stands for Panther Access to Web Services • PAWS replaces all other names, such as: • OASIS • Oracle • PAWSAdmin • PeopleSoft Going with ONE universal name…PAWS

  4. An All-In-One System old PAWS + old PAWSAdmin = new PAWS

  5. How do I Sign In? Note: You will no longer use your PAWSAdmin password. You will use the password you use for all I&MT applications. • Sign In using: • ePanther ID and Password • Same ID and Passwordused for: • PantherFile and PantherMail • PantherList and PantherCal • myUWM

  6. Password Help • To reset forgotten ePanther Password • Go to Bolton Hall Campus Computer Lab (Room 225) • Provide proof of your identity, (Campus Id preferred) • Ask lab consultant to reset your password

  7. Password Help • To activate new ePanther account & password for new employee • Go to www.epantherid.uwm.edu • To change an existing ePanther password • Go to www.epantherid.uwm.edu

  8. Sign In Process • From UWM home page, select PAWS • www.paws.uwm.edu • Type in: • ePanther ID and Password • Click Sign In button

  10. Options Inside PAWS Menu options appear on the left side of screen. Right side of screen is blank. Options appear according to your security authorization.

  11. Advisor Access in PAWS • Will have both: • Self-Service • All Administrative Functions you had in PAWSAdmin • Let’s review both

  13. PAWS Features • Select Self-Service to see functions available

  14. Self-Service Options • View Advisees’ Information • New/Drop-In Advisees • Class Search/Browse Catalog

  15. View Advisees’ Information • Select View Advisees’ Information link • Your first 10 advisees will appear on page Note: It may take a couple seconds to load • To see all advisees, select View All link

  19. Send Emails • To send an email: • Select specific Advisees & click OR • Select • Fill out email • Select

  20. Send Emails Sent as BCC, so email addresses do not appear for other recipients. Customize text. Remember to send message.

  25. What’s different? • Navigation is different…it’s easier • Breadcrumbs are gone • Updated navigation “cheat” sheets • PAWS favorites need to be recreated • View favoriteswherever you sign in!!!

Reminder: Create Favorites! They go with you any where!!!

  43. Time out • Automatic time out process changed • Reduced to ONE hour • Students,Faculty,Staff, andAdvisors are ALL logged off of PAWS after one hour of no activity

  44. How do I sign out? Select Sign out link in PAWS title bar • Manual Sign out process has not changed • Select Sign out in upper right side of page

  46. Announcements • PAWS maintenance (November 13th-17th) will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. • PAWS will be unavailable • Try to plan your work around maintenance (shut down) times
