  4. Future Internet research A comprehensive EU approach longer-term R&D  integration of new ICT & new ideas  open platforms and interoperability  FP7 technology risk • at-scale experimentation • collaborative/exploratory environ. FIRE • market oriented R&D, supply/demand • cost-efficiency, common enablers FI PPP • large scale trials (using existing technology) • service innovation CIP Piloting deployment 2-3 years 5-10 years time to market 4

  9. Presentation of project MyFIRE

  10. Identity card of project • FP7 project: FP7-ICT-2009-5 • Start date: 01/06/2010 • Budget (EC contribution): 700K euro • Duration: 24 months • Target countries: EU and BRICs • Target groups: research testbeds users and beneficiaries

  11. objective 1: Do more with FIRE • To identify the main issues and needs in the test beds approach • Researchers and users needs for an experimental facility • Liaison with standardisation process: use & participate • Exploitation process of Future Internet research • Economics data for decisions-makers

  12. objective 2: DO MORE FIRE • To detect best practices to stimulate the USE of the FIRE experimental facility • Identify the socio economic and environmental impacts and communicate them • Produce good practices to users and researchers for facilitating the access and the usage of test beds • Organize a series of workshops in the European area and BRIC countries to develop the awareness of the FIRE facility • Develop a networks and collaborations with the similar existing initiatives in the BRIC countries

  13. General approach

  14. Results • Public reports available on website: www.my-fire.eu • Country reports (Brazil, Russia, India and China) • Recommendations to FIRE • Standardised methodologies for testing • Opportunities for contribution to standardisation • Exploitation and sustainability path

  15. Opportunities for collaboration

  16. Running your experiments on FIRE FIRE infrastructure is up and running • You can make use of it to run your experiments • You are welcome to extend it with your own test facility

  17. Get funded Draft • FP7-EU funding allows Russian participation • ICT Call 10 (deadline 15th January): Objective ICT-2013.1.7 Future Internet Research Experimentation • Support new testbed facilities • Create open experimental facilities • Project calls • EXPERIMEDIA call open (DL 1st August): http://www.experimedia.eu/joinus • Follow all opportunities on : http://www.ict-fire.eu

  18. Get more information • Conference hall NIU ITMO Birzhevaya line 4 • Discuss and prepare future Russia-Europe cooperation in the field of Future Internet Research Attend full day MyFIRE workshop
