  2. This is how we will be for working in pairs. I want you to do very few things alone. Always have a work partner! Activity: Pairs

  3. For Pairs, I will give you a question or activity. You will discuss and share with your partner. So, you will need to have conversation. Conversation: yes

  4. If you are confused or need clarification, ask your partner first. Then, if needed, ask another Pair. THEN, you raise your hand and ask me. Remember: Collaboration! Help: Ask your Partner!

  5. I will be clear on what I expect of your Pair. Please make sure you complete what I ask you. Integrity: Follow the instructions

  6. This is not the time to talk about that movie you saw, or which shoes you want to buy. Stay on task!!! Effort: Stay on Task!

  7. This is your opportunity to learn! There’s me teaching (that’s the Large Group), and then there’s you LEARNING (that’s now). Discuss what you heard or saw. Start making the information yours. Value: Process Information

  8. Remember, we don’t have much time. Get your stuff done. Efficiency: Focus!
