  6. What is the In-State Tuition? The price of an In-Sate Tuition is $3,349.

  7. What is the room and board? The price of the room and board will be $9,582.

  8. What is the acceptance rate? The acceptance rate for FAU is 46% many apply but few are accepted.

  9. How many full-time undergrads? Our full-time undergrads are 12,107.

  10. What is the average SAT score? An average SAT score is 1440-1770.

  11. What is the average ACT score? An average ACT score is 21-25.

  12. Are college honors programs available? Yes there are many majors that’s with the college majors.

  13. How is the Student life like? The student life at FAU is pretty common and every one can get accepted. The experience provides students with knowledge and opportunities.

  14. What is the student recreation in the dorm’s like? We have a brand new fitness center that is only for our FAU students and those who stay’s on campus.

  15. Flexibility on the meal plan? The meal plan comes with your tuition payment and there are different meals you can choose from for the whole semester.

  16. Off Campus Housing? Yes, but housing management must be contacted for more information.

  18. What are the requirements for acceptance in the nursing program? Minimum of 3.0 G.PA, 48 credit hour, 60 Pre- Nursing Requirements.

  19. Is the nursing program the top major in FAU? Our nursing major is part of the top five in FAU but it’s getting up there and it’s pretty good and hard to get in.

  20. What classes could I take to meet the criteria of the nursing program? Classes varying in Anatomy, Physiology 1 with lab, Microbiology with lab, and etc. are some of the various classes that need to be met for the nursing program here at FAU.

  21. Is a background check required for acceptance to the program? Yes, a background check and health check are requirements for the program but that ties in only in cases where clinical studies among the peers have to be done.

  22. How long is it averaged for a student to study to become an RN and BSN? To study for BSN and RN it takes up to four years.

  23. Is it possible to get a masters degree while working on a Bachelors degree? The BS and MS Program at FAU offers a unique opportunity to study nursing at an advanced level.

  24. When is it decided who gets into the program? All applicants will be notified in December of the preceding year of the admissions decision by March 31st prior to the program start date in May.

  25. What are the hours of the programs? You will spend approximately 40 hours per week in classes and clinical nursing practice.

  27. Is there a scholarship that pays for personal expenses? Yes, through financial aid and also from the school’s offered scholarships you can pay for personal expenses.

  28. Is there a Scholarship that pays for abroad expenses? Yes, we have the OIP study abroad scholarships which offers students money to take abroad classes.

  29. What is the merit scholarship based on and what expenses does it cover for education? For freshman, the scholarship deadline is January 15th, and for transfer students the scholarship deadline is March 1st. Also, the merit scholarship pays for anything for those who qualify.

  30. Can a student receive financial aid while applying for a scholarship? Yes, students are eligible to receive financial aid while applying for scholarships.

  31. What is the reduce cost for tuition fee waivers for minority students? Unfortunately, there are no scholarships offered for the minority in FAU but clubs for the minority are available.

  32. What are the requirements that have to be met to obtain full scholarships? You must maintain a standard G.P.A for particular scholarships. (not all scholarships ask for the same G.P.A)

  33. How much money is refunded to part-time students? All students aren’t given the same amount. It all depends on how much financial aid has given you for each semester, what classes and how many classes are being taken by a student. Money is given to not only part-time but full time students.

  34. What is the percentage of scholarships/grants given for a particular school? A percentage of 59% is given.

  35. What are the scholarships on leaderships, minority/status, and music/drama based on? Scholarships are based on your academic and services that have been completed within the community.

  36. !CONCLUSION! In conclusion, FAU is a great school with a handful of opportunities. There is so much to explore and embark upon and with an open mind and urge to learn much can be accomplished. We here at FAU are all about the challenge and taking on all the possible and impossible things in life. Empowering people one student, one clinic and one community at a time is our motto so let the spirit of the burrow owl fly with you.
