CRAFTCMS PROS AND CONS — A QUICK GUIDE
What is Craft CMS Craft CMS first appeared in 2011. Despite being a relatively new CMS, it is quickly gaining popularity as a WordPress substitute. Excellent features include live previews, versatility, and simple editing.
BENEFITS OF CRAFT CMS Speed Flexibility Easy of use
SPEED WordPress is slower than CraftCMS. The drawback is that some WordPress themes (like WooThemes) don't work well with Craft.
FLEXIBILITY Craft's adaptability is its greatest asset. Because it is open-source, a sizable community of developers has adopted it and is constantly updating and improving it. It also helps that Craft is so simple to customize and has an interface that seems to have been created with people with little to no technical expertise in mind.
EASY OF USE Craft's simplicity of setup is one of its best qualities. Once installed, editing templates and making new pages is a breeze. CraftCMS is available under an MIT licence and can be used for both private and business applications. Developers have been paying close attention to it recently because it makes creating custom modules easier.
CRAFT CMS DRAWBACK Can get expensive fast, especially if needing advanced ecommerce and the PRO license of the software, and if using any commercial plugins. Higher barrier to entry with lack of 1 click install templates Smaller and on average more expensive developer community.
