  2. My Name is Tayla. I have recently gone to the foot doctor and I was told I’m supposed to be wearing flat shoes. I told the doctor I have my 16th birthday coming up. I have a lovely long pink dress, except I can only wear high heels with it. The doctor said in that case I can only wear high heels with the right angle heal. I am shopping and I have found three pairs of shoes.

I decided to use my maths and use Pythagoras theorem to work out what shoe had a right angle. • 1st shoe: 3 = 9, 4 = 16, 16+9=25, 25= √ 5 • 2nd shoe: 4 = 16, 4 =16, 16+16=32, 32= √ 5.6 • 3rd shoe: 3 = 9, 5 = 25, 9+25=34, 34=√ 5.8 • Which means that the first shoes have a right angle in there heels. 2 2 2 2 2 2
