  2. A DR Find Start point “A” and draw DR line. This is a TRUE compass course or a course TO a given point.

  3. B A DR Plot actual position “B”. This is usually given as a LAT-LON position

  4. B A DR TRACK The Boat has FOLLOWED the track from “A” to “B”

  5. B C A DR TRACK Calculate DR position “C”using same time as “B”. Plot ON DR line. (this is where you thought you should be)

  6. B C A DR Find SET TRACK Connect “C” to “B”. SET is direction from “C” to “B”

  7. B C A DR Find SET TRACK Connect “C” to “B”. SET is direction from “C” to “B”. To find direction use parallel rules and walk to compass rose.

  8. B One hour DR C A DR Find SET TRACK Using One hour determine DR position and plot ON DR line. Draw a line from this point parallel to SET.
