  1. LINC-NIRVANA on LBT

  2. LINC NIRVANA screenshot • LINC NIRVANA is the interferometric imaging focal station of the LBT • 2 identical multiconjugate adaptive optics systems flat the WF over a 2arcmin FoV serving the beam combiner, which adjust piston difference and projects two images of the 10x10 arcsec FoV in Fizeau fashion on the Infrared Sensor • LINC NIRVANA double GROUND WFSs serve as input to control the two 672 actuators Adaptive Secondaries λ science: JHK Pixel: 5.11 mas λ/23m: 10 mas (J) - 20 mas (K) FOV: 10” science 90” Fringe tracking reference star 2’-6’ Adaptive Optics natural reference stars Large FoV both for Piston Correction and for MCAO corresponds to high sky coverages: 40% Galactic Poles, 90% Galactic Plane
