Objective: Students will be able to identify and analyze evidence of adversities and overcoming adversities inThe Scarlet Letter. Do Now Complete both of the tasks below: 1.) Create a vocabulary flashcard (teacher will assign you a specific vocabulary word). Write the word and part of speech on the front. Write a picture, definition and your own sentence inside the card. 2.) Analyze your assigned textual evidence from chapter 19, 20 or 21. Use one of the following sentence starters: Readers may infer that… The evidence can be analyzed to mean that... The evidence can be interpreted to mean that... • Show homework: T-Charts for Chapters 22, 23 and 24.
