HS Announcements: Thursday, March 21st High School Homeroom Meetings and Activities: Thursday – Jungle News Broadcast during both homerooms. Thursday – 1st Homeroom – FFA Members interested in going to FFA State Convention will meet in Ag Ed Room. Friday – 2nd Homeroom – Junior class meeting in the choir room. Attention Juniors and Seniors planning to take the ACT in April, over the summer, or this fall. ACT Prep Boot Camp is coming to Champaign County on April 5th. This all day ACT Exam preparation workshop would be a great tool to help you prepare for the exam. WLS students who want to participate would come to school and then we will take students on a bus down to Urbana High School for the ACT Boot Camp. A bus will return students to WLS at the end of the day. The cost is $35 per student. Registration paperwork and fee is due to the office by Tuesday, April 2nd. Congratulations to the March FCCLA Safe Driver of the Month, Morgan Loverde! Morgan will receive a $15 gas card. Remember to drive safely and sign up for the April Safe Driver of the Month when we return from spring break. Attention Juniors and Seniors with interest in attending the University of Akron. UA will be hosting their annual Spring Visit Day for future students on Saturday, April 20. Please stop by the Guidance office for registration and further details. Attention Seniors who will be pursuing a Fine Arts major in college! The Champaign County Arts Council Eva & Charles English Scholarship application is now available in the Guidance office. The deadline for applications to be returned to the Guidance office will be April 8th. Juniors and Seniors interested in attending Rhodes State College, there will be an “Explore Rhodes State College Day” on Friday, March 22, 2013. Please stop by the Guidance office for registration and opportunity details. Attention 9th & 10th graders: Do you enjoy working outside and operating power equipment? If so, you might be interested in visiting the Professional Turf and Landscaping Lab at Ohio Hi-Point. They are holding an exploration day scheduled for April 9th. See Mrs. Hibbs for more information. This is the last week to bring in your old athletic shoes or soccer cleats. Donated shoes will go to a non-profit organization called Project Sole, which helps people in impoverished and disaster-stricken communities around the globe. Wearing shoes can prevent both infection and disease due to unsafe roads and unsanitary conditions. The problem is large but the solution is simple. Bring your shoes in by Friday and put them in the box outside the cafetorium. Musical is this week! WL-S proudly presents Alice in Wonderland Jr. tonight, Friday & Saturdayin the high school cafetorium. Show times are tonight March 21st at 7:00 pm, Friday March 22 at 7:00 pm, and Saturday March 23rd at both 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets range from $6-$9 and can be purchased in the high school office.
