  1. Important Dates Entry Forms must be turned in by Jan. 31 Opt-out deadline is Feb. 14 Dress Rehearsals March 18 and 20 (must attend one) Final Dress Rehearsal March 26 (everyone must attend) Trashion Show March 27 at 6:00

  2. What is Trashion? Clothing made out of recycled, or re-used materials. At least 50% of your outfit must be made of non-clothing materials!

  3. Your group must make the outfit yourself (mom can help a little). The Dress Code Applies!! • No strapless dresses • No cleavage showing • Everything must come down to at least the knees

  4. Outfits Will Be Judged By A Three-Person Panel On the Following: • Creativity/Imagination--how original and different is your outfit • Use of Materials—how well do the materials work/practicality • Appearance—how pretty is your outfit

  5. Cash Prizes!! • 1st Place: $100 • 2nd Place: $50 • 3rd Place: $25 If you are part of a team, your team splits the prize money.

  6. Viewing Room All outfits must be completed and brought to school by March 25 (two days before the show, and one day before the final dress rehearsal). The judges will be able to look at your outfits up-close and at their own pace, so they get a better idea of what you’re wearing.

  7. Runway Speech Each group must turn in a 30-second speech about their outfit that Mr. Radow can read while your model walks on the runway. The speech should include the names of the model and designers, and describe what materials are in the outfit.

  8. Background Music • Each group must provide Mr. Radow with a one minute snippet of a song that can be played while your model is walking on the runway. • The music must be school appropriate. • Either burn the music onto a disc or email it to Mr. Radow as an MP3 file.

  9. Video Consent Form • The Trashion Show will be videotaped! So… • Everyone must pick up a Video Consent Form today and turn it in ASAP! • You cannot be in the show unless you turn in this form!!!!

  10. Spread the Word! We want boys participating! We want teachers participating!
