And I heard a voice saying to it, “Get up! Devour the flesh of many people!” Daniel 8:20 “…represents the kings of Media and Persia.” “the symbolic action [rearing up o one side] was altogether appropriate for the federated Medo-Persian Empire, in which the Persian element dominated the Median” – Dr. Walvoord, Expositors [3 ribs] “corresponds perfectly to the three major conquests the Medes and Persians made under the leadership of King Cyrus and his son Cambyses…Lydian…Chaldean…Egypt” – Walvoord

  10. Daniel 7 Daniel 8:21 …represents the king of Greece… “This beast portrays the division of Alexander's swiftly won empire into four separate parts within a few years after his death in 323 B.C.”– Walvoord 6 "After this I kept looking, and behold, another one, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.

It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.
