  4. What are we “EXPERIENCING?” • Seeing: Eye-Consciousness • Hearing: Ear-Consciousness • Tasting: Taste-Consciousness • Smelling: Smell-Consciousness • Touching: Body-Consciousness • Knowing: Mind-Consciousness

  5. Phenomenon of Seeing: “EYE-CONSCIOUSNESS”

  6. Phenomenon of Hearing: “EAR- CONSCIOUSNESS”

  7. Phenomenon of Smelling: SMELL- CONSCIOUSNESS

  8. Phenomenon of Tasting: “TASTE- CONSCIOUSNESS”

  9. Phenomenon of Touching: “BODY- CONSCIOUSNESS”

  10. Phenomenon of Thinking: “MIND- CONSCIOUSNESS”

  11. In an ultimate sense, it is the “CONSCIOUSNESS” that does everything. So, it is an Ultimate Reality. Ask about the mango simile to understand this profound truth

SUBCONSCIOUSNESS • Made-up of stored-up karma, memory, reactions, etc • A resultant-state; seed-like; Potentiality • Does not become consciousness until it gains enough strength through conditionality • Subservient to consciousness • Does not co-exist with consciousness • Serves as the life-continuum; the undercurrent • Fuel (energy) for the continuity of existence

To understand the following and remove delusion (ego): • All our experiences at the most intimate level are nothing but “consciousness”; • There is no “I” in Consciousness; No permanent entity: • There is no one single-consciousness but many ; • The order of consciousness is fixed. No ruler of it.

  17. Knowing this, Let us abandon the ‘self’ (ego) Let us become free of greed, hatred, anddelusion Let us become free from all suffering & imperfections Let us experience freedom and peace
