Assessing the Risk The costs of classes are brutally high. Is an expensive education the loophole free way to a career? Today I will hopefully enlighten you on what college may or may not bring.
Meet John Hughes • John is my brother. • He is five years older than I am. My story revolves around the outcome to his college experience, and how college has assisted him in finding work.
A little over 6 years ago… A letter arrived at our house, a letter for John. Turns out the letter was his college acceptance letter from the University of Louisville.
Pride My brother was going to attend college. I had only heard stories of how great Universities are. Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers.
Following Along “Do good in school so that you can go to college” My years at high school were spent studying and participating in events to fill scholarship applications.
John’s Graduation Roughly a year ago, John received his master’s in chemical engineering. He currently lives in Louisville, and is unemployed.
Trust John’s inability to gain a job occurred right when I was receiving my UK acceptance letter. How could I feel confident attending college?
My Letter My acceptance letter was greeted with much less enthusiasm. In the end I had two options…
University of Kentucky Last fall I began attending the only college I applied for. Mechanical Engineering instead of Chemical Engineering.
New Horizons I’ve loved every minute of my first year at college. I feel like I am in the right place. Only time will tell if I made the wrong decision attending college.
