  2. How Do We Handle More Complex Conversions? • Take 2 minutes to discuss with your table group how you would convert the following: • 6.25 tonnes to grams

  3. Did you find a way? • Tonnes to grams is not in the conversions chart. If the conversion chart is all you have how can you determine what tonnes is in grams? • Try this method. We know what kilograms to grams is. Add a few more steps, we can convert tonnes to kilograms and then to grams. • 1 tonne =1000kg so, 6.25 tonnes = 6250 kilograms (6.25 x 1000) • 1kg = 1000g so, 6250 kilograms = 6250000 g (6250 x 1000)
