  2. FEAR OF REJECTION • FEAR OF DEATH/ SICKNESS • FEAR OF ABUSE • FEAR OF HATE • FEAR OF CRIME/WAR HOW DO YOU HANDLE FEAR?

  3. KING DAVID WRESTLED WITH FEAR. • AND HEWAS A MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART • “I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.”(Acts 13:22) • “The LORD has sought out a man after his own heart…” (1 Samuel 13:14)

  4. In Psalm 27 David exhibits 3 Qualities that all of us need when facing fears/problems… • 1. Courage from God (27:1-3) • 2. Communion with God (27:4-12) • 3. Confidence in God (27:13-14)

  5. David’s courage came from God. • “The LORD is my light and my salvation---whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid? 1. COURAGE FROM GOD (1-3)

  6. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6 • “What are you, O mighty mountain?...you will become level ground.” Zech. 4:7 1. COURAGE

  7. “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 1. COURAGE

  8. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20 1. COURAGE

  10. “If God is for us who can be against us?” • “Who can separate us from the love of Christ?” • “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:31,35,37 1. COURAGE

  11. “The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.” Deuteronomy 28:13 1. COURAGE

  12. “One thing I ask of the LORD this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.” Psalm 27:4 2. COMMUNION WITH GOD (4-12)
