  2. The new dialup procedure requires the use of the EVPN client software to establish an active connection to the Lockheed Martin network. After January 31st, 2003 the toll free dialup numbers e.g. 1-877-877-7441 will be turned into a Lockheed Martin ISP number which will get you partially connected to the network remotely and then be able to launch the VPN client. To verify whether the VPN client software is installed on your computer look for this icon on your desktop or click on the Start Button, Programs, Nortel Networks, and Extranet Client as displayed in the screen shot on the next page.   4. To establish a Dialup connection, Double click on the dialup connection icon on your desktop to display the Connect to Dial-up Connection. Note: Dial-up can also be configured to skip the terminal window option. To configure dial-up using this option, Refer to pages 4& 5 or refer and pages 6 & 7 for dial-up with the terminal window option.

  5. Setting Dial-up without using the Terminal window. Type in the username: lockheedmartin in the username window above and dial2work as the password. Check, the Save password box. Dial: Enter one of the Lockheed Martin Dial-Up Toll Free Numbers: 1-877-877-7441 1-877-877-7459 1-877-877-7461 Click on Properties, click the Optionstab and uncheck the Prompt for username and password certificate etc box as displayed in the next page click OK to get the previous screen and click on Dial.

  7. After Dial Terminal At the terminal window, type in the group dial-up username lockheedmartin and press Enter. On the enter passcode line, type in the group password: dail2work and press enter. Please Note: The username and password should all be in lower case.

  8. A few scripts will scroll down the screen, click the Donebutton after this happens.

  9. The message below will pop up on your screen and you will be connected. After a successful dialup connection is established (Please refer to the screen shot below for an indication of a successful connection) the EVPN connection has to be initiated. Indication of a Successful connection

  11. Double click on the VPN shortcut on your desktop or click on Start, ProgramNortel Networks to launch the VPN client. When you double click on the VPN shortcut, the window below will be displayed. Type your username e.g. cbrookma in the username field, your secure_id pin number in the PIN number dialog box, the display number on your token in the Token dialog box and click on the Connect button. Please Note: The destination server name for a dial-up VPN connection and a high speed internet access VPN connection are different, the destination server name for your dial-up VPN connection server is vpnsvr3a.vpn.lmco.com. After clicking on the connect button the message below will be displayed.

  12. After a successful connection is established you will be notified by the Security Banner displayed below Click OK. Click OK again on the next screen to acknowledge your successful connection. As displayed below.

Successful Dial-up VPN connection A successful dial-up and VPN connection will display the dial-up connection icon and the VPN icon displayed on the task bar as indicated on the screen shot below.   14. Disconnecting VPN Dial-up session The message below will pop-up to confirm your intent to end your VPN and Dial-up session, please click Yes to disconnect

  15. Configuring multiple VPN connections Please do not worry about these steps if you only use phone lines to connect to the network remotely. Users can configure their laptops with separate profiles for VPN high speed access e.g. Comcast, or any cable high speed access and phone dialup connection by double clicking on the Nortel Client software icon, click on File and New as specified below Type in a name for your connection eg. Vpn-dialup and in the connection dialog box and the click on the Options on the tool bar and Authentication Options as specified below.

  16. Select Group Security Authentication and Response Only token and type in the Group ID lockheedmartin and the password lmvpn click OK to save your setting and exit to previous window.

  17. Type in the server name for your connection. vpnsvr3a.vpn.lmco.com for a VPN connection using dial-up and vpnsvr3a.external.lmco.com for VPN connection using I high speed internet connection e.g. cable modem.

  18. You can change profiles for your connection i.e. between the dialup VPN connection and the high speed VPN connection by double clicking on the VPN icon, clicking on the connection drop down window and select your required option. Shortcuts to the various connections can also be created by double clicking on the Nortel Network client, selecting File on the toolbar and then from the drop down window selecting Create Shortcut as displayed below.
