There are 3 very important documents which govern the way Serco run Dubai Metro: • Dubai Metro Health and Safety Policy • Dubai Metro Environmental Policy • Dubai Metro Quality Management Policy Safety must be your number 1 priority. Operational Hours Operational Hours refer to the period between the time traction power supply is switched on for the start of train services and the time it is switched off at the end of train services (last train running). Golden Safety Messages for Everybody • DO NOTforget that there is nothing more important than safety • DO NOT enter the guideway, workshops or equipment rooms unless you have clear authority, a PTW and a safe system of work • DO NOT carry out any task if you are not competent • DO NOT ignore unsafe behaviour or practices – challenge & report it • Do communicate clearly using the Safety Critical protocol • Do make sure your are absolutely clear about any instruction before you act on it • Do ensure you understand your Procedures & Instructions – ask if you are not sure • Do report all incidents, accidents or safety concerns without delay • Dowear the correct PPE wherever required • Know and use the ‘Worksafe’ process – if in doubt stop and shout Issue A3: 02/02/11. Location and Tool Box Talk • You will now receive a specific brief on hazards that are unique to the location at which you are going to work from the Landlord, This will be followed by your Tool Box Talk delivered by the Person in Charge (PIC) which will cover the methods of work, hazards associated with the work and the control measures which you must apply. • If you do not fully understand any part of the above briefs you must ask the briefer to fully explain again until you understand
