  2. Dropbox Features • Access your files anywhere • Simple Sharing • Dropbox Mobile

  3. Your files, anywhere Any file you save to Dropbox also instantly saves to your computers, phones, and the Dropbox website. • 2GB of Dropbox for free, with subscriptions up to 100GB available. • Your files are always available from the secure Dropbox website. • Dropbox works with Windows, Mac, Linux, iPad, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. • Works even when offline. You always have your files, whether or not you have a connection. • Dropbox transfers just the parts of a file that change (not the whole thing). • Manually set bandwidth limits -- Dropbox won't hog your connection.

  4. Simple sharing • Shared folders allow people to work together on the same projects and documents. • Invite friends, family or teammates to a folder. It'll be as if you saved the folder to their computers. • See other people's changes instantly. • Create photo galleries viewable by anyone you choose. • Send a link to any file in your Dropbox using your Public folder. http://jtoolkit.com/PDFs/Dropbox_Instructions.pdf

  5. Using Public folder The Public folder at Dropbox is very unusual. It does not act like the other folders in your Dropbox, which allow a normal type of file sharing (simple uploads and downloads). DO NOT delete or rename the Public folder at Dropbox! You can get a public link for any file in your Dropbox’s Public folder. Here’s how: On your computer, open the Dropbox folder. Open the folder in Dropbox named “Public.” Copy and paste your file into that Public folder. Log on to Dropbox on the Web: http://www.dropbox.com/ Open your Public folder there. You should see your file in the folder. Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) on the filename. This opens the dropbox sub-menu.

  6. Using Public folder On the sub-menu, click “copy public link.” Click the button labeled “Copy to clipboard.”

  7. Using Public folder Now PASTE the link into a text editor (such as Microsoft Word) so that you do not lose it and can use it later. It will look similar to this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40565616/Picture%20clipping.pictClipping

  8. Dropbox mobile • Apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, and BlackBerry keep your Dropbox at hand, even on the go. • Bring your files with you when you're on the go. • Edit files in your Dropbox from your phone. • Easily upload your photos and videos to Dropbox. • Share freely with family and friends.

  9. Your stuff is safe Dropbox protects your files without you needing to think about it • Dropbox keeps a one-month history of your work. • Any changes can be undone, and files can be undeleted. • Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and AES-256 bit encryption.
