  2. His Life Michael Joe Jackson was born on the 29th August 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He was a singer, songwriter, record producer, composer and he had many other occupations. Before he became a singer he was part of the family group- the Jackson 5ive. They sang R&B, soul, pop and later disco.
