  3. He was theeighthchild of the Jackson family. He debuted on theprofessionalmusicscenealongwith his brothers as a memberof The Jackson 5 in 1968.

  4. He began his solo careerin 1971 . In theearly 1980s Jacksonbecame a dominant figurein popular music.

  5. Jackson’s 1982 album Thriller isthebestselling album of all time.His otheralbums, includingOffthe Wall (1979) , Bad (1987) , Dangerous (1991) , and History (1995) , alsorankamongtheworld’sbest-selling.

  6. He got: 13 Grammy Awards as well as the Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy LifetimeAchievementAward ; 26 American MusicAwards, morethananyotherartist, includingthe „ Artist of theCentury ” and „Artist of the 1980s ”.

  7. In May 1994, Jackson married Lisa Maria Preslay, thedaughter of Elvis Preslay. Theydivorcedtwoyearslater.

  8. In 1996 hemarried Deborah Jeanne Rowe. He hadthreechildren.

  9. Michael Jackson died on the 25th of June 2009 in L.A.
