  2. El descubrimiento de los ácidos nucleicos se debe a Meischer (1869), el cual trabajando con leucocitos y espermatozoides de salmón, obtuvo una sustancia rica en carbono, hidrógeno, oxígeno, nitrógeno y un porcentaje elevado de fósforo.
