    2. 2 Tutorial Objectives This is a demonstration of the vPC-GR Dashboard content filters. It will walk you through the role filter process and show you how to manage the Worklist tab. At the conclusion of this tutorial, users will be able to: Manage Dashboard content with Role Filter Manage information on the Worklist Tab use view filters to change the view and narrow the content identify coordinators and the pending actions required

    3. 3 Role Filter The Role Filter is a utility that enables users to manage Dashboard content (applications, messages and reports) according to their role (or roles) within an organization. You can choose to view only those applications that relate to one of your assigned roles (e.g. First Sergeant, CSS and Unit Commander) or you can view all of the applications with which you have an involvement.

    4. 4 Overview

    5. 5 My To Do List & Messages

    6. 6 Roles – All, Assigned or Delegated If you are assigned to one or more roles, you can select a specific role to filter the requests displayed and any reports to that specific role. The default “Role Filter” setting for everyone is set to “ALL”. If you have not been “Assigned” or “Delegated” any roles – “ALL” is the only “Role Filter” option available to you.

    7. 7 Roles – All, Assigned or Delegated The Role Filter not only displays “assigned” roles but also “delegated” roles. The difference between an “Assigned” and “Delegated” role is that a Role Administrator (Servicing MPF PSM) “Assigns” the role according to the member’s primary responsibility in the organization. An example of an “Assigned” role is: If you are the “First Sergeant” then you would be “Assigned” an additional role in vPC-GR as the “First Sergeant”.

    8. 8 Roles – All, Assigned or Delegated The “Delegated” role is one that a member in an “Assigned” role “Delegates” to another member as a result of an event or a shared responsibility. The member who has been delegated a role cannot delegate that role to another. An example of a “Delegated” role is: Commander, 172nd OG is deployed for 90 days, he/she may then “Delegate” their role as Commander, 172nd OG to the “Acting Commander” in their absence for a specific period of time.

    16. Action Requests - Filter Options ‘Type’ – Displays the type of action request application. Choices are “All,” “Decoration,” “Evaluation,” “Retirement,” or “Points.” “All” is the default type. ‘Start Date’ & ‘End Date’ – Use the calendar to select a period of time during which an application have been in coordination. Two years for “Open” applications and 3 months for “Closed” is the default range. ‘Status’ – Displays the status of the action request (“Open” or “Closed”). Open is the default status. ‘Name’ – Search for a member’s application by their first or last name. Don’t forget to refresh when changing a filter view.

    19. 19 Summary The Role Filter may be utilized for any activity within the Dashboard. Action Request filters help manage your Worklist. The Worklist Tab’s Action Request view “Viewable to me” is the key to oversight, monitoring, and awareness of action requests for your organization. Default filter views can be changed to displayed specific applications and their status Click ‘Refresh’ whenever the desired filters change to update the display
