Timesheet Features • Calculates hours worked and differentials (hourly only) • Totals paid/leave hours • Automatically fills dates from pulldown menu • Prevents incorrect values from being entered • Supports night shifts and daylight savings time • Supports multiple breaks during day • Instructions/Reference on separate tabs

Accessing the Timesheet • Go to the HR Website • http://www.uwp.edu/departments/human.resources/ • Left sidebar – Under “Forms” select “Classified Civil Service” • Select the appropriate timesheet from the list • Hourly or Salaried – Office 2007 and 2003 versions available. • Save to your computer • Open the saved file

Using the Timesheet • Enter person ID, pay period, and name • Person ID is found on your earnings statement • Pay period is a pull-down menu • Enter hours worked • You must fill in start and end times • Use AM/PM or military time – times default to AM • Two breaks supported in lunch section • Hours worked will turn red if invalid • Hours worked will turn yellow if more than 12 hrs • 3rd shift – enter all time on day shift starts

  5. Using the Timesheet • Enter leave time • Use hours and tenths • Comp Time • If you earn comp time, make sure to enter it in the comp time box. • Save, print, and sign • Turn in to your supervisor for signature • Due in payroll office at 10:00 AM on due date
