  3. There are often many myths that people believe to be true about homeless people. What are some myths that you have heard? For example: All homeless people are addicted to drugs and alcohol.   4. A small child sleeps in a car tonight because he has no place else to call home.·Every year, tens of thousands of families and individuals are temporarily homeless in the United States. Their plight stems from a variety of different causes: domestic violence, job loss, illness, crisis pregnancies…and the list goes on. Where can they turn?How can we help?

Go to the “Homeless in America”Web Page and search for organizations in our area. • Understand what the organization has to offer, and how they help homeless • Decide on ways that our class can help We will be looking at each of you ideas, and voting on ways that our class can help out in our community
