  7. Colonization • Destroyed first campsites in fear • Their land was traded for other items • Almost all wiped out through smallpox and guns

  17. East and West Jersey • Land -> James, the Duke of York • James-> Sir George Carteret and John Berkely • They split into East and West Jersey • East Jersey = Quakers • West Jersey = Puritans
