This countrywide consultation aims to drive self-accountability and self-coordination among CSOs in Bangladesh, fostering a cooperative agenda with other stakeholders. The goal is to enable CSOs to actively contribute to humanitarian aid and democracy efforts.

WHY • Change of role perspective of CSOs from aid effectiveness to development effectiveness, Istanbul Principles, • Outcome from WHS and Grand Bargain : Localization and Accountability, • Trinity factor : A balance interplay of STATE, MARKET and CIVIL SOCIETY, • Accountability and inclusiveness is more of SELF INITIATIVES, rather than as capacity and • HUMANITARINSM and DEMOCRACY is the basic essence in genesis of Bangladeshi society

HOW • Bottom up process through core group (who have credibility and potentialities to carry forward) • Open, transparent, participatory, with new narrative / knowledge development (websites, group mail, media interaction in region and district level) • Development of CHARTER and SIGNATORIES on ice ball rooling basis, declaration in national level, sharing with others, especially with political policy leaders, ICSOs and government.

  4. Posible Outcomes • Self-initiatives for monitoring among CSOs • Proactive initiatives to safe guard HUMANITARINSM and DEMOCRACY in local and national level • Negotiation with other stakeholders (especially with ICSOs and governments) for SOVREIGN and SUSTAINABLE growth of CSOs in Bangladesh
