Fact 1 • There were only 7 tigers left of the javan tiger. • The javan tiger is lost to mankind because they were hunting them. • They went extinct in the 1980’s.
Fact 2 • They were going to be extinct really fast. • People were unable to save the javan tiger from becoming extinct. • They were using the javan tigers as experiments.
Fact 3 • People thought that the javan tiger was a pest. • The natives were hunting the javan tiger which lead them to become extinct. • There were 20 to 25 javan tigers in the late 1950’s.
Habitat • The javan tiger lived on an island called Java. • People were destroying their habitat where they had lived. • There were signs of a few javan tigers west of Java.
The javan tiger • People pushed the javan tigers to remote mountain ranges. • By the mid 50’s, there were fewer than 20 to 25 javan tigers left in west of java. • They were very small compared to the other tiger subspecies.
Males and females • The males are bigger than the females. • The males weight is 221-311 pounds. • The females are 165-254 pounds. • The males are about 8’1feet tall when they stand on their back legs.
How many javan tigers left • There were only seven javan tigers left in the world. • The javan tigers went extinct sometime in the 80’s.
