  3. Men Will Worship Something "Man is a religious being, he will worship...Man by worshipping, becomes assimilated to the moral character of the object which he worships... Without an exception, the character of every nation and tribe of the human history has been formed and modified, in a great degree, by the character attributed to their gods." James B. Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 9. Reality of Idolatry • They are mindless. Deuteronomy 4:28 "And there you will serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

  10. Reality of Idolatry • They are helpless. Jeremiah 10:5 They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good."

  11. Reality of Idolatry • They are lifeless. Acts 17:29 "Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. (NKJV)
