MDIS data avalable thru PDS • Approach to accessing MDIS data • PDS DMAP in review will include re-purposed GRS as neutron and electron detector • release 9 included higher level product (img.pds.nasa.gov.) as following schedule • MESSENGER Extended Mission Review • Panel reviewed problems in data access • Explanation of need for ISIS process URL isis.astrogeology.usgs.gov • Accessing maps did not work - URL to ACT did not work, now corrected - Instance available but no explanation
Problem with MDIS Access Discussion revolved around proper documentation and dependence on ISIS Was the pipeline review adequate (SIS was 2010)? updates What constitutes proper help customized guidance (Lynn’s help at LPSC) MDIS workshop guides provided definition of H01, H02, … MDIS workshop was a good answer
Future PDS Issues • Nodes do a thorough check of web site, especially recent releases, news item • Is there a problem of poor documentation • Need a better explanation on top page of what PDS can supply • Encourage further joint workshops • Cooperation with other mission to supply other analytic resources
