  2. Nature as Inspiration • Take a walk through the park, visit the woods, watch a river or stream and get inspired! • View several images of objects found in nature. Print and bring in your images to share with the class. Discuss what interests you about the images. • Use one or more of your images to create a painting that has been inspired by something in nature. • Use acrylic paint on an 11”x17” canvas or canvas paper of the same size. • Write a 100 word artist statement explaining your painting and how your images inspired you. • Present your statement and painting to the class during a critique.
