Record of Clinical Practice • The RCP is presented to SCST in 2 parts: • Part I is presented toward the end of year 2 of the programme • Part II is presented toward the end of year 4 of the programme
Internal Verification • This process provides the monitoring of quality of work-based assessment • IVs visit a minimum of twice a year • Any documentary evidence of these visits MUST be included in the logbook
Part I should contain: • Resting ECG • Spygmomanometry
Part II • ETT • Ambulatory ECG • Ambulatory BP • Cardiac Catheterisation • Pacing • Echo
RCP is in 2 sections • Assessment logbook • Evidence Portfolio
Assessment Logbook This section contains the documentation of the work-based assessments
Life Support • A copy of a current life support certificate • This should be a minimum of intermediate life support • If only basic life support is available an assessment of defibrillation technique must be included
ECG Includes Prep equipment, prep patient and evaluate results
ECG • 3 ECG assessments are carried out in the workplace. For EACH, the following documentation must be provided:
Sphygmomanometry • 4 assessments of blood pressure measurements are completed. At least ONE must be manual • For each assessment the following documentation must be provided:
Exercise Testing • 4 assessments of ETT are completed • For each assessment the following documentation must be provided:
