  5. Curriculum Overview • Guided Reading • 15 Minute Sessions • 4-6 Students in Each Group • Student’s Books are Personally Leveled

  6. Guided Reading Sessions • Students Review the Books’ Cover • Brief Talk About the Story’s Topic • A Picture Walk-Through • Students’ Read the Text • They are Given Strategies • Comprehension Questions are Asked

  7. Classroom Rules • High Expectations • Sit-up Straight with Hands Folded • Book Stays on the Table Until Reading Begins • No Distractions Allowed by Others • Hands Must be Raised to Answer Questions
